Mission

1. The prime objective of the team is to highlight the need and potential of Kashmiri youth to build a strong leadership in           diverse fields;
2. To provide youth a physical platform beyond internet, to discuss and share ideas, grievances, and thoughts about the                various day to day issues.
3. To spread awareness among youth about a range of concerns like child rights, heritage conservation, etc.
4. To introduce youth to unusual and interesting modes of communication like photography, one liner pledge making, short      write ups, movie clip making etc. for representing and sharing their thoughts/ideas.
5. To create an opportunity for youth not only to discuss various social, educational, cultural, economic and political issues           themselves but also with the policy makers, administrators, activists, etc. there by bringing in a sense of accountability in       the system.
6. To provide a platform to explore the youth talent in various fields including public speaking, strategic thinking, etc;
7. To discover future development opportunities for youth in Kashmir within the present scenario.
8. OYK also aims at drawing attention of youth as well as various experts, bureaucrats, intellectuals, etc to various issues,           duties and rights of Kashmiri youth towards building a better Kashmir society.
